Biologic recently swapped business-as-usual for a day of hands-on discovery as we welcomed families and friends to our new Perth headquarters in Osborne Park.
Embracing family is important at Biologic and with over 50 kids attending, our workspace was buzzing with excitement as people enjoyed a behind-the-scenes look at science in action.
Opening our doors was about more than just showing off where mum or dad sits. It was an opportunity to showcase what science looks like at Biologic: practical, engaging and relevant to the real world.
Guests, young and old, enjoyed activities inspired by our everyday work, including:
- Digging to uncover some hidden “Subterranean fauna”
- Spotting aquatic critters with some water bug bingo
- Taking a closer look at native flora and bees under the microscope
- Learning how DNA sequencing works, with a game of pairs
- Potting seeds to contribute to our Gidgegannup Carbon Project
- Exploring rocks, nature crafts and Noongar songs
- All fueled by an epic lolly station and gelato cart
Whether it was peering down a microscope for the first time or painting a lab coat, the day was all about curiosity, creativity, and fun.
Welcoming our children, partners, parents and roommates to our workspace provided an excellent opportunity for our people to show their loved ones what we do in a hands-on way, demystifying our work and inspiring curiosity about the work we love.
At Biologic we are enormously proud of the work we do, and we enjoy sharing it.
